Shinobido – The Way of The Ninja – Review
Those who really want a great game, which involves several skills like stealth and merciless killing, together with less of blood and gore, can choose a lot of fun from Shinobido.
Based on a medieval Chinese set up on those waring ninja communities who keep starving for destroying their rivals, you start as The Crow of the Asuka ninjas. The Asuka were once the great clan, which was ultimately destroyed by the others. However, you as Goh (The Crow), Kinu and Zaji have survived.
You start as the amnesiac Goh, and receive letters from unknown rulers, either Ichijo, Akame or Lady Sadame. You have to chose sides. They employ you in various ways to destroy the other to gain control of Ichijo. However it is at your discretion whom to chose finally, they have their own bad and good characteristics. They will individually help you to find out your past in the form of ’soul’ fragments. You will have to gather them and ‘read’ what they tell you.
Apart from daily missions, you may face several other rival ninjas. who still have no idea of the existence of the Asuka ninja. These include the Tarabas, Kenobi and the Mosus, each led by a terrific leader. You may get to face these leaders as a reward.
Finally, the game has many outcomes. Based on your successful or failed missions, you will have to face the trust of the warring lords. After each game, upon completion, you will receive many unblocks which will help in making your newer missions more helpful and interesting. Collect items fallen on the ground or those with people who are killed, and keep your items at hand to use them during battle. You can also buy, sell or gift these items.
Together with amazing gameplay, and wonderful graphics, Shinobido is a wonderful game to play. It is great for adventurous people, and for those who love to kill, but with a reason!
