Blizzard released new StarCraft 2 beta patch
It is true that it has been quite long that blizzard has released a patch for the beta test of StarCraft 2. But you would be excited to read that the developer of the game has launched the sixth beta patch for this upcoming sci-fi RTS sequel. The previous patches released by developer were about unit balancing but this released patch includes some gameplay changes and additions. It also includes the option to view another player’s profile after completing a game along with some improvements in 2v2 matchmaking.
Also some tweaks have been made to the balance of various units. There are some improvements done for pathfinding so that units can “properly block ramps and choke points”.
Star Craft II may get released in May 2010
We all know that Blizzard have already launched the Star Craft II beta last week but everyone is eagerly waiting for Blizzard’s upcoming sci-fi RTS full game Star Craft II release. All the lovers of this game just have 1 single question in their mind as to when will be the full game would be ready to play. The great news is that Blizzard’s latest podcast tries to answer this question with their Star Craft II special.
Production director Chris Sigaty stated, “We were targeting three to five months for the beta, we are really at a three month period of time for the beta at this point. We are still targeting the first half of this year.” so finally they are looking to release Star Craft II by May 2010. Moreover Blizzard also promised to release a big content patch near the end of the beta but he confesses that promised map editor would be only released once the beta ends.
